Simple Christmas Cards

Christmas cards don't have to be a ten hour labour of love to send a heartfelt greeting. I did a few simpler cards this year that I quite liked, even if I felt guilty that they did not take hours to make.

I treated myself to a new sentiment stamp that says "Don't get your tinsel in a tangle!" and thought it was perfect for inside this angel card. The angel stamp is an oldie from my stash.

I used a diffuser plate (a rectangle with a circle cut out of it) when I ran the background through my Cuttlebug. This embossed all but the center circle, leaving it clear for a little stamping and colouring. The wings are glittery in real life.

Here is True Confessions time. The gorgeous snowflake border on the stocking card is not mine - I bought it to give to my sister for Christmas. But I just had to try it out before I sent it to her. Consider it a test drive - did not want to send her a faulty product! So I quickly did a few cards with it - and really had to force myself to part with it. The embossing is very deep. Shh, don't tell her! Below is one with glitter glue applied:

And here it is with Waltzingmouse Stamps trees and sentiment. I hope she enjoys the folder as much as I did! In case you are wondering, the folder is by Ultimate Crafts Feliz Navidad Collection A2-ULT157175.  Merry Christmas!
